We run and financially support animal projects at Marsa Alam in the Red Sea Governorate in Egypt
Currently, Marsa Alam has no permanent vet that is taking care of stray animals and doing neutering/vaccination campaigns. The next permanent vet clinic is 300km to the north in Safaga/Hurghada.
We are planning on opening our own permanent vet clinic for pets and strays in Marsa Alam in early summer 2024.
A citizen science project in the Red Sea, educating dive center staff and tourists about protection and the correct behaviour around turtles.
The building is almost finished, we are currently waiting for windows and doors. Once these are installed, we will start furnishing the clinic and get all the medical supplies we will need to go operational.
The Red Sea Governorate is in the south of Egypt, it is the part between the Nile and the Red Sea.
