There are a lot of cats/dogs at the hotel where I am staying. What can I do to help them?

Many hotels have a cat/dog population. If you want to help them, please talk to the hotel management about spaying/neutering and vaccinating them to avoid the population growing too big. We are happy to do TNR campaigns in hotels, helping them with a sustainable und humane population control.

Please do not take cats or dogs to your room or feed them at the restaurant. They will get used to it, coming there also after you leave. Many guests (and therefore most hotels) do not appreciate cats/dogs roaming free in the restaurant and gardens.
If you want to feed them, ask the staff where an appropriate feeding place is. Often cats/dogs get fed by the kitchen or security staff in a place away from the guest areas. Please stick to these areas, as it helps to avoid conflicts with other guests.

I found a stray cat/dog, can you take him in?

We are an animal clinic, offering care for sick and injured animals. We are not a shelter, and have no facilities to house a large number of cats or dogs. We can't keep animals after their recovery, so we unfortunately can't take in healthy stray animals.

I found an injured cat/dog, can you come and pick him up?

Our field team is daily on the streets, and we are happy to help within the Marsa Alam area. Please send us a WhatsApp with the exact location and as many details as you have. This makes it easier for us to come with the appropriate equipment and find the injured animal as quickly as possible.

I fell in love with a cat/dog and want to take it home with me. What do I need to do?

To take a cat/dog to Europe, they need to be microchipped, vaccinated, tested and need the correct papers. It takes at least 4 months until an animal is ready to travel and costs about 150 Euro. Please send us a WhatsApp and we will assist you with getting your pet travel-ready. You can also find further information on our adoption page.

I am coming to Marsa Alam soon, can I bring something?

If you plan vaccations in Marsa Alam: if you have some space in your luggage, we are happy to take donations in the form of old towels, cat and dog treats, elastic bandages, ... Please contact us, we are happy to advise you what is needed, or have a look at our amazon.de wishlist

How does the clinic finance the free treatment of stray animals?

The clinic is funded by donations through a Swiss Foundation. Please find here all options to support us.

Also we are happy to have a growing number of private clients that trust us with their pets. All income from private pets is used to treat stray animals

Our impact in Marsa Alam

Emergencies were the theme of June 2026. Our team grabbed the emergency box and drove to pick up injured animals more often than ever before. And many of them will stay for us for a long time: 2 broken pelvics, a smashed jaw, a mangled paw, an ingrown rope, several severe bite wounds, ....

And still, we managed to spay/neuter 60 animals, mostly dogs, and finish 3 areas, where all dogs are now done.

We happily waved Goodbye to 4 cats that travelled to their forever home, we are so happy that they found loving homes and wish them and their families all the best!
